Charly Fasano

Charly “The City Mouse” Fasano is a poet, filmmaker, painter and block printer from Denver, Colorado. He has released two spoken word records accompanied by the music of Memphis’ Lucero. His short animated films have appeared at the No Budget Film Festival, Blackbird Film Festival and The Lowlands Film Festival. His short animated film Teddy’s Bowling Alley was awarded a Jury Prize at the Machinima Expo 7 Film Fest in 2014. Books of his poems have been published by Sunnyoutside Press (Buffalo NY) and Spartan Press (Kansas City). His drawings and poems have appeared in Suspect Press Magazine, Yellow Rake Magazine, and Birdy Magazine. He illustrated a book-length poem by Ken Arkind called “Denver” with a series of block prints and Zach Boddicker's Rise of the Haugenberrys. Named to the Westword Magazine’s 100 Creatives 4.0 list, his drawings and paintings have also been featured in group exhibitions at Bitfactory Gallery and Cabal Gallery in Denver.
