Ridiculous Fiction #1: Old Joe

Old Joe zine

The Ridiculous Fiction genre was invented by Chris Auman to justify the absudity of the short stories he wrote in the late 1980s and early ‘90s. The first issue contains the story "Old Joe" and the comic "The Sheridan Park Massacre."

"Old Joe" is a spoof of the classic Man vs Nature literary theme. Will Bill Billson become a man after a successful hunt with his father and grandfather? "The Sheridan Park Massacre" tells the tale of a rage-filled evening of insecticide. The horror!

The Flaming Skull of Death

Flaming Skull of Death Comic

The Flaming Skull of Death is the terrifying tale of young Jonas, who receives a cryptic message from his uncle Barthalamus, lord of an ancient castle on the Isle of Crannias. Jonas must decode the message and follow its instructions… or else…

Readers can use a key code to decipher the Flaming Skulls’ cryptic message.
